Jemima Bird

Jemima Bird runs her own strategic brand, marketing and operations agency, Jbird Consulting. In February 2013, Jemima joined the FTSE250 Moss Bros. brand to develop brand, marketing, customer segmentation & communications strategies. In July 2013, she was appointed onto the Executive Board as the Commercial & Operations Director, responsible for the Groups c.140 store operation, and the marketing, creative & visual merchandising teams managing a £100+m P&L.

 

Until February 2013, Jemima was the Group Marketing Director at Tragus Group (Cafe Rouge, Strada, Bella Italia & Belgo) owned by private equity firm Blackstone. As a member of the Main Board responsible for 290 restaurants, a £300m sales budget & £50m profit, Jemima developed & implemented brand strategies and introduced new formats for the brands; she also developed a new business proposition, Cafe Rouge Express.

 

Prior to this, until 2010, Jemima was the Marketing Director at Musgrave Retail Partners, a partner to entrepreneurial food retailers in Ireland, UK & Spain, managing a £10m budget and a £1bn divisional budget as part of the Main UK Board. Jemima implemented brand strategies for the Budgens & Londis brands, achieved significant budget savings and delivered a store refit solution for retail partners. Until January 2008, she was the Director of Brand at The Co-operative Group, in charge of a £45m budget and responsible for the implementation of a new brand for the Co-operative Movement.

 

Jemima holds an MBA (distinction) from Warwick Business School, has held a number of industry body non-executive positions and also works with small start-ups helping to develop strategic brand & marketing solutions.
